GETTING STARTED

Choose the first tasks to delegate

You do not need a complete operations manual to start a conversation about support. A few well-chosen tasks give you a useful starting point and make the scope easier to discuss.

01

Capture the work that repeats

For a few working days, note the small tasks that interrupt you: sorting emails, updating a spreadsheet, finding a document, sending a reminder, or checking whether someone has replied. Record how often each task comes up and where the information lives.

  • Daily: inbox sorting, appointment changes, new inquiry checks.
  • Weekly: content scheduling, project updates, follow-up lists.
  • Around an event: client onboarding, a workshop, or a meeting.

02

Pick something you can explain and review

A strong first task has a clear input and a visible output. “Organize my business” is hard to hand over. “Update this tracker with this week’s project statuses and flag missing replies” gives both people something concrete to work from.

  • What information starts the task?
  • What should the finished result contain?
  • Which decisions need your approval?
  • When does the result need to be ready?

03

Start with a manageable group

Choose tasks that use similar tools or belong to the same routine. Inbox organization and calendar coordination may fit together. Preparing approved social posts and updating a content calendar can form a separate routine. Rank the tasks by importance rather than treating everything as urgent.

04

Bring the shortlist to the conversation

Share your priorities, current tools, preferred timing, and any examples you already have. VA Find can use that brief to discuss the relevant support, availability, and scope. Confirm responsibilities and price before work starts.
