Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains how VA Find handles information when you visit vafindus.com, contact us, apply for an opportunity, or share a testimonial. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

1. Information we receive

  • Inquiries and email: your name, email address, optional business name, selected service, message, and any details you choose to share in follow-up correspondence.
  • Applications: the information you submit through our linked Google Forms application. Review the questions and any notices in that form before submitting.
  • Testimonials: the quote and name, role, or business details provided for publication, together with confirmation of permission to publish.
  • Website visits: our hosting, security, and advertising providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, page URLs, request times, and cookie identifiers.
  • Administrator access: account identity and email information used to check permission to manage website content. You do not need an account to browse the public website.

Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or sensitive account information through the inquiry form.

2. How we use information

We use inquiries and correspondence to respond to you, discuss the support you need, and manage a working relationship. Application information helps us review candidates and communicate about opportunities. Testimonials are used to share customer feedback publicly when permission has been confirmed.

Technical information supports website delivery, preferences, access control, and protection against spam and misuse. We use Google Ads tagging to help measure advertising performance; Google also processes information as described below.

3. Services and sharing

Information is handled by VA Find and the providers involved in the feature you use:

  • Contact forms: submissions go to FormSubmit for processing and spam checks, then to our Gmail inbox. See the FormSubmit privacy policy.
  • Email and applications: Gmail and Google Forms process information sent through those services. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Website operation: hosting and security providers process requests and store website content, including testimonials entered by the administrator.
  • Administrator sign-in: OpenAI provides the sign-in service used to verify authorized administrators. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy.

Published testimonials and their approved attribution are visible to everyone and may be indexed by search engines. Contact inquiries and applications are not published as website content.

Our Facebook and application links open external services. Information you share there is also subject to those services’ privacy policies. Information may also need to be disclosed to meet applicable legal requirements or address misuse and security incidents.

4. Cookies and Google Ads

A preference cookie called sidebar_state remembers whether you have expanded or collapsed the navigation. It lasts for up to seven days after you change that setting, unless you clear it sooner. Sign-in and external form providers may use additional cookies for their own services.

The public pages of this website, including this privacy policy, load a Google Ads tag. Your browser sends Google information such as the page URL and IP address; Google may set or read advertising cookies. Google uses this information for advertising measurement, fraud prevention, and, depending on your settings, personalized advertising. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser and manage ad personalization in Google My Ad Center. Turning off personalized ads does not stop all measurement or other processing by Google. Blocking cookies may affect saved preferences or sign-in.

5. Storage and security

Inquiries and correspondence are held in our email service; applications are handled through Google Forms; testimonial records are held in the website’s database. These providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Retention depends on the purpose of the record, ongoing conversations or working relationships, recruitment needs, and any applicable legal or dispute-resolution requirements. There is no single automatic deletion period for all records. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request its deletion; provider backups and retention practices may also apply.

The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit and restricts content management to authorized administrators. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and requests

You can choose whether to send an inquiry or application and what to include. Email [email protected] to ask about information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or ask us to remove a testimonial from the website.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to access or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to certain uses, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a relevant data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved disputes.

Removal from our website does not automatically remove copies already held by search engines or other third parties. For data held independently by Google, Facebook, or another provider, use that provider’s privacy controls as well.

7. Policy updates

We may update this policy when our website or information-handling practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
